Add Option 1D5 to the Firmware (Firmware Revision 7.xx)

IMPORTANT This procedure instructs you in adding Option 1D5 to the firmware with

8719/20/22D network analyzers with an newer CPU board and firmware

revision 7.xx. If your firmware revision is 7.xx, refer to “Add Option 1D5 to

the Firmware (Firmware Revision 6.xx)” on page 9. If you have firmware

revision is 6.xx, you will have the older CPU board.

Set the A7 Switch

1. Turn the network analyzer upside down.

2. Locate the A7 switch on the A7 CPU assembly at location S400. Refer to Figure 6.

3. Set the A7 switch to the Alter mode.

Make an Addition to the Displayed Options List

4. Press

5. Verify that the analyzer displays ‘‘OPTION 1D5’’, by pressing

Return the A7 Switch to Normal

6. Return the A7 switch to the Normal mode.

7. Replace the analyzer bottom cover, and all the rear panel feet.

8. Continue with “Verify the Frequency Reference Operation.”
