Demonstration Preparation
The following instruments and soft-
ware are required in order to perform
these demonstrations:
• Agilent ESG E4438C or MXG N5182A
• P-Series power meter N1911A or
N1912A
• P-Series wideband power sensor
N1921A or N1922A
• Signal Studio software N7615A/B
for Mobile WiMAX or N7613A/B for
xed WiMAX.

N7615A/B will be installed in the
controller PC.

Connecting the PC, ESG and P-Series
Instructions
1. Connect a PC (loaded with the Signal Studio N7615A/B for 802.16 WiMAX
software and Agilent I/O Libraries Suite) to the E4438C ESG via GPIB or
LAN. The setup procedure in this guide assumes that LAN interface is
used.
2. Set up the Client with I/O Confi guration of Agilent I/O Libraries using LAN
interface from Signal Studio.
3. Make necessary connections on the ESG and P-Series power meter and
sensors as shown in Figure 8. Perform the following steps in the next page
to interconnect ESG and P-Series power meter and sensors.
