Connect the 83433A

to the input of an optical multimeter.

Set the pattern generator as follows:

On the 83433A, ensure the wavelength adjust feature is disabled (front-panel

LED is off).

Turn the

LASER ENABLE

key to the ON position.

Measure the optical power at the output of the 83433A. It will show a minimum

of zero dBm.
