Implementing external switches through the input

lines (HP 54656A only)

The HP 54656A RS-232 Test Automation Module can be controlled remotely

through the two input lines. By using multiplexing, three functions can be

achieved by these two input lines: Next, Reset, and Previous. The following

circuit diagram shows you how to connect these two lines to passive circuits

to perform the three functions.
