Basic Digital Operation
Using Waveform Clipping
now being transmitted. If the changes were made to an inactive waveform segment, the
changes will be seen when the file is selected as the current waveform file to play and the dual
ARB player is on.
Configuring Rectangular Clipping
1. Press Mode > Dual ARB > ARB Setup > Waveform Utilities.
2. Highlight a waveform segment.
3. Press
Clipping > Clipping Type |I+jQ| |I|,|Q| to |I|,|Q|.
This activates the
Clip |I| To and Clip |Q| To softkeys that allow you to configure rectangular
(independent) I and Q data clipping.
4. Press Clip |I| To > 80 > %.
5. Press
Clip |Q| To > 40 > %.
6. Press
Apply to Waveform.
When the
Apply to Waveform softkey is present within a dual ARB player softkey menu, it
needs to be pressed to save the changes to the currently selected waveform file. This is
required whether or not the waveform is playing. For the ARB modulation formats, this
key needs to be pressed only while the waveform is playing.
7. Press
Mode Setup to return to the first-level softkey menu.
If the changes were made to a waveform segment that is currently playing, the changes are
now being transmitted. If the changes were made to an inactive waveform segment, the
changes will be seen when the file is selected as the current waveform file to play and the dual
ARB player is on.
